How technology did not save the day in Iraq

I had read similar opinions before and watched news pieces on TV, but this article in Wired really sums things up better than others in the past. It takes a closer look at the war in Iraq, how technology was tossed at soldiers as a quick fix whereas the real solution likely lies with social interaction between our soldiers and the actual Iraqi citizens. I did enjoy the history of “future weapons” that we now use and the theory behind how modern warfare would be conducted.

Afghanistan, Iraq, and Lebanon were the first conflicts planned, launched, and executed with networked technologies and a networked ideology. They were supposed to be the wars of the future. And the future lost.
